"The hour I spend with Jeff every other week is my sanity check, when I am able to think big thoughts and make necessary adjustments to stay effective in my role. We're already blowing through our goals this year, and I'm actually having fun doing it!"

Executive Coaching

What is Executive Coaching?:

Coaching has evolved from the world of athletics, where coaches help elite athletes enhance their performance and achieve their goals. From the world of sports, the concept of coaching moved to the executive suite as a means to help senior executives manage a constantly changing business environment and refine their leadership skills. Today, all over the world, people at all levels of the organization are using executive coaches to help them achieve their full potential. The process focuses on the participant’s goals, accelerates movement toward the goals, reinforces learning and change, and increases self-empowerment.

Most clients who come to executive coaching appreciate the opportunity to:

  • Think out loud in a safe environment
  • See the forest from the trees
  • Better prioritize their tasks
  • Focus some time on planning and visioning
  • Speak candidly in complete confidence
  • Replenish their energy and enthusiasm
  • Brainstorm fresh apporaches to challenges
  • Devote time and energy to work-life balance
  • Explore their full human potential

What are the Benefits of Executive Coaching?

Individuals who participate in executive coaching benefit in three important ways:

  • They have a clearer vision of their development goals
  • They are significantly more successful in achieving their goals
  • They are more effective managers and leaders

Executive coaching also offers significant benefits to the participant’s organization, including:

  • Developing and retaining effective leaders
  • Building synergies within teams
  • Achieving successful organizational change

Executive Coaching is a highly interactive process that is built on trust.  Confidentiality is contracted up front and rigorously adhered to. By creating this trusting environment and following a coaching framework, we lay the foundation for exploring opportunities and creating positive change.

The processes and tools used in my coaching are based on proven methodologies, rigorous training with a credentialed and highly respected program, and years of experience.

A professional coach can be an indispensable member of your team.  Executive coaching builds personal, team and organizational capacity through personal alignment and support.

It helps release executives from the minutia of day-to-day details and interpersonal dynamics, so they can devote more of their time and attention to activites of highest value—for them, and those they serve.

What are the logistics of Executive Coaching ?

  • As a first step, if you think you may be interested in working together, simply contact me (604.677.6743 or jeff@jeffbalin.com), so we can connect and better assess your needs and our potential "fit."
  • Should you decide to hire me as your coach, you will begin the coaching relationship by completing an in-depth Foundation Questionnaire, which will be accompanied by an initial Foundation Session.  This session will be 90-minutes in duration.
  • Coaching sessions are generally conducted by telephone, which is highly affordable, effective and convenient.
  • When clients begin coaching, sessions are usually scheduled 2-3 times per month, lasting approximately 45-60 minutes.   Over time, the frequency may be reduced, depending on the client’s preference.
  • Appointment times are decided at the end of each call, by consulting our calendars and determining the best day and time that will suit our schedules.
  • The initial contract is for six months, with the option to extend as needed.
  • Coaching fees are $440-$660 per month, depending on the desired frequency of sessions.
  • If at any time, the client (or the coach) is not satisfied with the relationship, we will bring it to a productive conclusion and any payments made in excess of sessions used will be fully refunded.
